The Muslim Center of Montgomery, Inc. believes in being a service to all of humanity. Service to Allah and service to humanity is the true essence of Islam. Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) has stated, "The best of people is the one most beneficial to humanity."
We provide a variety of services including:
Jumu'ah Prayer
Jumu'ah literally means congregation in English. The term is also the Arabic word for Friday. During our Jumu'ah service, a sermon is delivered prior to congregational prayer. Jumu'ah is held every Friday from 12:30 - 1:00 PM.
Ta'leem
Ta'leem (Teaching & Learning) is held every Sunday at 12:30 PM. Ta'leem is also held weekly on Wednesdays between the Maghrib and Isha prayers. Ta'leem consists of interactive learning sessions which are moderated by the Imam (leader) or member of the community. During Ta'leem, we discuss various aspects of the religion that aim to assist us with living fulfilling and productive lives.
Adult & Youth Sunday Classes
Adult Islamic Studies is held every Sunday from 9:00-10:00 AM. These classes are very beneficial to reverts or those new to Islam.
Youth Islamic Studies & Arabic Class is held on Sundays from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm. The Muslim Center of Montgomery, Inc. believes that we must invest in our future as a community. This is an excellent time for youth in the community to build lasting relationships with peers who share the same faith and values.
Food Pantry Distribution & Clothes Closet
Our Food Pantry Distribution has been operating since 2010. This effort has been possible by our partnership with the Montgomery Area Food Bank. Our Food Pantry Distribution is held on the 4th Saturday of every quarter beginning at 8:30 AM. Food is distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. We are in need of dedicated volunteers to expand this program. Please contact us if you are interested.
Our Clothes Closet is held quarterly during our Food Pantry Distribution. All clothing is free of charge, If you would like to donate clothing, please bring it the day before service.
